1984 - Rain Dance Car Wax
Просмотров 12 тыс.16 лет назад
Sometimes it isn't a good idea to try and sell a product by taking its own name literally, as in this effort to dress a man up in blue vinyl, put some tap shoes on him, and have him execute a choreographed routine on a car hood.

2001 - Snickers Crunchers

This ad features what would be a good idea - distill the worst of a year's cliche catch phrases into cheap dolls to be destroyed and purged from the earth.
1982 - That Cover Girl Face

Who is this woman? Google gives up next to nothing, unless I'm spelling her name wrong. Kelly Amber? Kelli Amber? Keli Umber? She must have been somebody important to warrant her own ad.
1984 - Levis Button-Fly 501 Jeans
Просмотров 79 тыс.16 лет назад
One of a wonderful, wonderful series of ads from Levis for their assorted jeans variants. The music was always pleasant, the people were always pretty in a good way, and the look, even more than twenty years later, shows why Levis should rightfully be considered a fashion classic.

Jacko has a lot of energy.

50 years of warranty lmfao
Reagan used him to boost his presidency, but ignored him when he needed his help
I need this!!!!
Wtf i thought they were playing the dead rising 2 royal flush plaza music lol
In more recent years, the name "Jacko" was Michael Jackson's nickname. I remember these very entertaining commercials. Oy!!!
The most 80s thing ever
Whacko Jacko..
What is the other battery? Not the Duracell one
Don't worry it happens to lots of guys
Oi!
I was 18 when this commercial came out. Jacko was the man of energizer batteries

I met this guy at an all night club in 80s in Canada and get this he wore a pink sweater with big pom poms on it to get a reaction. We were standing near him and he spit out his dentures and would throw them back in. A monster of a scrapper for sure,
Knives so sharp that you can even cut a blimp... and it'll still be sharp enough for you to accidentally cut your own tail! Sauda, are you okay? Damn it, not again...
My parents bought a set of Ginsu. I still use them. It's all about appropriate expectations.
👼🔺️▪️♥️
So what was this guy, like a crackhead they found or something?
That face, that face, that cover cat face (apologizes to Cover Girl).
*Herb* that should cost'im a stroke It looks like he had a stroke! 😂
Is it good for slicing human neck?
Well this is what was happening when I was being born
You were born on the day the first iPhone was released to the public?
@@merfwriter yes. But since I was born in Australia, It was technically the day before.
Honestly...my parents bought these in 1990. I still have the main knife...no rust and still cuts great in 2023! That is actually pretty damn impressive. Don't make em like they used to I guess.
Oy!!!
I remember this! For some reason in the 80s in the US, we saw an Australian man on our TVs screaming at us to buy Energizer batteries! It certainly was memorable.
0:47 COWARD 😠😡
He should of been a GI Joe guess character like refrigerator Perry
clean cuts and still cuts a tomato

Jacko! I remember the ' highwayman' in 87-88
I remember another ginsu 2000 commercial where they took the big ginsu 2000 and used it to cut through the original 70's version! 😄
Was this stuff actually good?
No. The paste was not easy to apply and super hard to take off, we had to use effort to scrub it off using both hands. Our dad used the threat of waxing cars with this stuff to keep us kids in check. Buffing it off released a toxic-smelling powdery substance and leaving any residue applied on vinyl and simulated wood grain bits would cause those areas to haze over. From using Rain Dance in the mid-80's we tried Simoniz then depended on Turtle Wax's silicone car wax introduced in the bottle which was an improvement over Rain Dance. By the mid 90's, flashier products from Mothers and Nu Finish came out to dominate the shelf space at the local Pep Boys to eat the turtle's lunch and push that dancing rain guy off the stage.
There are simply no sufficient words for the tragedy of AIDS. If the US government cared enough and people’s minds weren’t so beholden to homophobia and stigma, they could have made the drug they had in France available for distribution in the US a lot sooner. I realize that it was not as effective as what we have today, but doing almost nothing for people while they suffer with this condition is one of the cruelest things I can imagine.
Oh please. These people live immoral lives. Maybe if they hadn't been so promiscuous, they wouldn't have got it
I'll tell you what's wrong..he had AIDS
this is when ratatouille came out
The man was just shy of 60... I'm 57 in 6 months. Makes you take a look at your own life. How quickly the poor man deteriorated. Diagnosed and dead in a year. Regardless of his private life, he was a great actor, and genuinely a nice man. He just Always came across to me as someone I would have enjoyed meeting. His career was amazing. The very last work I can recall was "Martian chronicles"
Meet him in public or behind closes doors?
Drastic weight loss helped to kill him--AIDS causes nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of apetite, also Thrush and tumors can make eating painful--Rock to Doris: 'I can't eat!'
0:05 I see tab soda
Could've used Crazy Eddie now 🤣😂
They won't honor the 50 year guarantee. I contacted the company and they said these are "knock off" knives, claiming they never made them.
The monkes are coming
